Tablefare

Privacy and your information

When you ask Tablefare to help with your event, we keep it simple: we collect contact and event details so we can match you with caterers near you. We do not ask for financial account numbers or sensitive personal records.

What Tablefare is — and what we collect

Tablefare is a free matching service. We are not a caterer, a restaurant, or an event planner, and we do not cook, serve, or set catering prices.

To help you compare options, we collect only basic contact and event-intent details: your name, phone number, optional email, event type, city or ZIP, rough date, rough guest count, service style, cuisine, and preferred language. That is the information we use to help connect you with caterers who may fit your event.

What we do not ask for

We do not ask for financial account numbers, credit card numbers, Social Security numbers, immigration documents, income details, or other sensitive personal records.

If a caterer you choose later needs payment, a deposit, or contract details, that happens with the caterer directly. Before you pay or sign anything, read the full contract, confirm the date and price in writing, and review the final invoice carefully.

How your information is used

We use the details you share to understand your event and help match you with caterers in your area who may be able to quote it. For example, your guest count, rough date, service style, cuisine, and preferred language help make the match more useful.

You stay in control. You can compare quotes, ask questions, taste or sample where possible, and choose who serves your table. Tablefare does not guarantee a booking, a held date, a specific caterer, or a final price.

A note about prices and quotes

Catering prices can vary a lot. As a general range, simple drop-off catering may start around $12-$30 per guest, buffet service often falls around $20-$55 per guest, and full-service plated events can run about $40-$120+ per guest. These are not quotes.

The real number depends on the menu, service style, guest count, day and season, your city, and what is included. It can also change once service charges or gratuity, staffing and bartender fees, rentals, delivery and setup, cake-cutting or corkage, overtime, deposit terms, final-headcount deadlines, and cancellation terms are added. Always compare the all-in cost per guest, not just the food price.

Questions, updates, or concerns

In plain English

We only collect basic contact and event details to help you compare caterers, and we never ask for bank, card, or other sensitive personal records.

Common questions

Do I have to pay Tablefare to get matched with caterers?

No. Tablefare is free for the host. You can share your event details, compare quotes, and decide whether any caterer is right for you.

Will you ask for my credit card or bank information?

No. We do not ask for financial account numbers or other sensitive personal records. We collect contact and event details only.

What information should I be ready to share?

Usually just your name, phone number, optional email, event type, city or ZIP, rough date, rough guest count, service style, cuisine, and preferred language. That helps us match you with caterers who may fit your event.

Does sharing my information mean I am booked?

No. Sharing your details does not hold a date or create a booking. Always confirm the date, menu, and full price in writing with the caterer before paying a deposit or signing a contract.
